Just now as I was writing this post in the middle of the night, I heard sounds from my son's room. When I went in there, he was having a bad dream and he was crying out "Wall E." Poor guy, maybe he was too young to watch Wall E. He certainly deeply affected by it!

For the love of a a small waste collecting robot
My son watched Wall E for the first time tonight. SPOILER ALERT - There is a part where Wall E gets sort of crushed and becomes unresponsive. My son was so anxious he ran over to where my husband and I were cuddling on the couch and asked us what was happened to Wall E. My husband had to give away the ending by telling him that Wall E would get fixed. He kept asking us when Wall E would be fixed. It looked like my son had tears in his eyes. Then when Wall E finally gets fixed my son actually hopped and clapped his hands. He had the hugest smile on his face.

ReplyDeleteI agree Zara. Agastya has just turned 2 and he did see few animation movies like ku-fu panda, winnie the pooh's heffalumps, where the baby elephant got lost in woods and was crying for his mother. Agastya woke up many times that night crying unconsolably - looking for me. So a lesson learnt for us. No more animation without previous censorship. Will stick to Caillou and those cute animation for some more years, I guess. Hope you are doing fine Zara. Will call you one of these days.
